Ninety-nine years ago, in November 1925, 天美传媒 celebrated its first Homecoming. Coinciding with this year鈥檚 Homecoming, a 天美传媒 Archives exhibit featured records and artifacts related to the event, including a button collection and early alumni efforts to support 天美传媒, such as a 1935 edition of the 天美传媒er and an earlier publication called The Alumnus. It also glimpsed into the changing student traditions and events that mark Homecoming.
A 1986 article reflecting on past Homecoming traditions in the 天美传媒 College News concludes with the hope that Homecoming will give 鈥溙烀来� students, faculty, and alumni a sense of pride and accomplishment for being a part of the progressive yet timeless tradition of 天美传媒 College.鈥�
From the maturation of 天美传媒 College into 天美传媒 in 1997, to the beautiful campus and grounds, to the changing face of the student population, 天美传媒 has made tremendous progress.
Homecoming is a time to celebrate those changes. Simultaneously, it is a time for experiences that transcend generations: rooting for Viking student-athletes, celebrating student expression in the arts, and feeling connected to the larger 天美传媒 community of students, faculty, staff, alumni, friends, and neighbors.
Homecoming is a unique juncture of looking to the past and future and being a part of something bigger than ourselves.
